Blue Satin
För ett par år sedan släppte Chanel Black Satin och med det startade en global trend att lacka naglarna i svart. Black Satin blev otroligt hypad och sålde slut på ett kick i USA, snart började det gå rykten om att de åtråvärda flaskorna hade sålts på auktionssiter för uppemot $100. Galet, men hypen var ändå i viss mån befogad - alla märken skapade snabbt sig egna “lilla svarta” för att sno åt sig en bit av kakan.
Nu försöker sig Chanel på att göra om konststycket med vårens Blue Satin. Problemet är bara att man inte sätter trenden denna gång, det är först när de mörkblåa lacken går in på sin tredje säsong som populära, som Chanel släpper sin variant. Men nog tusan blir detta lack omåttligt hypat ändå. Varför? Visst är det ett snyggt lack, men unikt det är det inte.
Inte missunnar jag Chanel framgång med sina produkter. Jag missunnar inte heller de som nu köper lacket nöjet med att pryda tassarna i vackert midnattsblått, men hylla det som hyllas bör - Blue Satin är ingen trendsetter, det är en sen imitation. Chanel lever på gamla meriter.
